Bank Helps Fire Companies

ONLEY – Shore Bank President and CEO W. Thomas Mears has announced that an account has been established with Shore Bank to accept donations to support local fire and rescue companies. To help kick off the Fund Drive, Shore Bank has made the initial contribution of $1,000.

“The past five months have severely strained local resources and our fire companies need our support now more than ever,” Mears said. “We hope that by reaching out to our community for help, we ca

n support our local volunteers.” Monetary donations can be made at any Shore Bank branch or mailed to Shore Bank, c/o Accomack Firefighters Assistance Fund, PO Box 920, Onley, Virginia 23418. Please make checks payable to: Accomack Firefighters Assistance Fund.

In addition, the Shore Bank Exmore, Onley and Chincoteague branches will be accepting donation items needed by the local fire and rescue companies. Items such as Gatorade, coffee, creamer, sugar and dish soap are needed. These types of items can be taken to any Shore Bank branch Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Group Adds New Hires

OCEAN CITY — Sage Title Group has expanded its Eastern Shore operations in Ocean City and Easton with the hire of Linda Livingston and Jennifer Dudley, who will focus on business development and customer service in their respective markets.

Livingston will join the team in Ocean City. She is a veteran in the real estate settlement business with more than 20 years in the title industry. Linda has recently relocated to the Eastern Shore and will be responsible for business development and the management of the Ocean City and Salisbury markets.

Dudley, who has 17 years of experience in the title industry on the shore, will now oversee the Easton office, which has recently become the Eastern Shore operations hub for Sage Title. Since Dudley began last June, she has more than doubled Sage’s business. She will oversee the operations hub with an established team of processors including Julie Darling, Jessica Chester and Chelsea Wright.

“Our teams prioritize customer service with our homeowners, realtors and lenders, and Jennifer and Linda epitomize this philosophy,” Tracy Berger, senior vice president of sales for Sage said.

SALISBURY — TGM Group, LLC announced it has successfully completed a peer review of its accounting and auditing practice. The reviewer(s) concluded that the firm complies with the stringent quality control standards set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the national professional organizations of CPAs.

The peer review of TGM Group, LLC was performed by another independent CPA firm that qualified under the program’s requirements for service as a reviewer. The objective of the peer review is to determine whether a CPA firm has suitable quality control policies and procedures and is complying with them. Its peer review rating of pass indicates TGM Group, LLC meets the accounting profession’s high standards of quality and professionalism
