New Branch Leader Named

OCEAN CITY — Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage® has announced that Kelley Bjorkland has been named Branch Vice President of the company’s Ocean City-120th Street office.

Bjorkland has over nine years of experience as a Realtor and previously served as the sales director for Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA where she supervised all branch operations including management of staff, sales associates and evaluating financials.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity to work within the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage system,” said Bjorkland. “I am constantly striving to foster a culture that is energetic, and I look forward to working with all of the talented sales associates in the Ocean City-120th Street office.”

In her previous position, Bjorkland held weekly coaching sessions, daily productivity workshops and monthly business development seminars. She was also called upon by corporate leadership to create and deliver presentations to the entire Jack Gaughen ERA management team.

Anniversary Celebrated

OCEAN CITY – Susan B. Megargee, Broker/Owner with Re/Max, recently congratulated Mark J.Hall of Re/Max Crossroads in Ocean City for five years of service with the Re/Max network of professionals, a significant milestone in his career.

The outstanding effort and dedication Hall displays makes him a tremendous part of the Re/Max network and the success of the Re/Max Crossroads team at the beach in Ocean City and the Eastern Shore, according to Megargee.

Hall also has earned the prestigious Certified Distressed Property Expert® designation, having completed extensive training in foreclosure avoidance, with a particular emphasis on short sales.

New Golf Pro Announced

OCEAN PINES – The Ocean Pines Golf & Country Club, owned by the Ocean Pines Association (OPA) and managed by Billy Casper Golf (BCG), has named John Malinowski, PGA, its new director of golf.

Malinowski will oversee Ocean Pines’ day-to-day activities, including staffing and training, clubhouse operations, food and beverage, programming and special events, and golf instruction.

Most recently Head Golf Professional at Montgomery Country Club in Laytonsville, Md., Malinowski was named 2012 Professional of the Year by members of the Middle Atlantic PGA section, of which he is President and former Education and Membership Chair.

“John is a strong leader who will train and empower his team to deliver a high level of service our members and guests customarily enjoy,” said OPA General Manager Bob Thompson. “Ocean Pines is excited about the energy, experience and professional status John brings to the club.”

Malinowski’s appointment coincides with Ocean Pines converting all greens on its 18-hole golf course to A1 Bentgrass. The front nine was completed this year and the back nine will be converted in spring 2013. In addition, Ocean Pines is installing new drainage pipes and re-shaping bunker edges on the front nine. The entire project is slated for completion in late May 2013. In the interim, golfers play the open nine twice for a full 18-hole round.

Employees Honored

SALISBURY — Peninsula Regional Medical Center’s Mary Beth D’Amico, Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer, and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Clinical Manager Tom Jones have each been elected to membership in the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) as a nurse leader through Lambda Eta Chapter at Salisbury University.

Membership in STTI is by invitation to nurse professionals who have demonstrated achievement in nursing, hold a minimum of a baccalaureate degree and are a registered nurse.  A number of PRMC nurses and many others on the Delmarva Peninsula are members of STTI.
