BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s girls’ varsity soccer team remained unbeaten this week, topping visiting Bennett, 3-0, on Monday to remain nearly flawless on the season.

Brittney Calandra led the Seahawks with two goals on Monday against the Clippers, while Tori Whigham added a single tally. Lexi McDonough and Liz Rouchger each contributed an assist, while goalkeeper Ashley Paul was her usual stingy self with eight saves.

Monday’s shutout win came after the Seahawks thrashed county rival Snow Hill, 9-1, on the road last Friday. Decatur is now 4-0-1 on the season, its only non-win a 1-1 tie with Bayside North power Queen Anne’s back on September 14. Decatur played Mardela yesterday in a game played too late to be included in this edition. After that, the Seahawks play three straight tough road games against the Salisbury area schools Parkside, Wicomico and Bennett again. The Seahawks then wrap up the regular season with three games at home.
