Realtor Joins Office

BETHANY BEACH – ResortQuest Real Estate announced this week that Cindy Spieczny has joined its sales team at its newest sales office in the Fenwick Plaza located on Route 54, just west of Fenwick Island.

Licensed since 1983, Spieczny specializes in new construction projects and continues to focus on the area’s premier communities. She has worked on the Route 54 corridor, in both Delaware and Maryland, since 1984 and has knowledge not only of the Fenwick Island area, but also Bethany Beach, Rehoboth Beach and Ocean City.

A consistent multi-million dollar top producer since 1984, Spieczny is an associate broker in Delaware and Maryland. She also has the received the Graduate REALTOR® Institute, Certified Residential Specialist and Senior Real Estate Specialist.

New Certification Earned

OCEAN CITY — Prudential PenFed Realty’s Della Wilson, a member of the Coastal Association of Realtors, has been awarded the Resort and Second Home Specialist (RSPS) Certification, a nationally-recognized certification awarded by the National Association of Realtors to real estate professionals who wish to demonstrate and promote their expertise in the resort and second home specialty.

“This RSPS certification program offers one of the most powerful networking opportunities,” said George Harvey, 2012 chair of the NAR Resort & Second-Home Committee. “You will connect with agents across the country and share your local knowledge to attain referrals. Foundation Recognized

SALISBURY — The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore has been recognized once again by the Council On Foundations for meeting the highest national philanthropic standards for operational quality, integrity, and accountability. The organizational and financial practices of the Foundation have been found in accordance with all National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations.

In order to achieve confirmation of compliance with the National Standards, community foundations must undergo an extensive review of their organizational and financial policies and procedures. The review is performed by trained, experienced community foundation practitioners.

“Adopting and adhering to high standards is the best way we can demonstrate our ongoing commitment to maintaining the trust of our donors and the entire community,” said, Community Foundation President Doug Wilson “We are honored to have our efforts recognized by the Council on Foundations.”

CAR Honors Realtor

BERLIN — The Coastal Association of Realtors® (CAR) has named Sharon Curtiss as its 2012 Realtor® of the Year.

Curtiss, Associate Broker for Hileman Real Estate, Inc. in Berlin, was announced as the award winner during the CAR Annual Awards Ceremony. She will be honored along with winners from around the state at the Maryland Association of Realtors® (MAR) Annual Conference in Ocean City in September.  

Candidates are judged on service to their communities, dedication to the industry above and beyond their day-to-day activity.

Licensed since 2001, Curtiss is a long-time member of the Coastal Delmarva Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors® and has served in various officer positions at both local and state levels for the organization, which is the 12th largest women’s organization in the nation.

AGH Appointments
BERLIN – Atlantic General Hospital recently appointed three new doctors to its team.

Shoaib Ali, M.D., will be joining the Atlantic General Hospital Medical Staff and Peninsula Nephrology Associates. He received his medical degree from Spartan Health Sciences University, St. Lucia, he completed his residency at Wright State University, Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio, and his fellowship at St. John Hospital & Medical Center in Detroit, Mich.

Janki Patel, M.D., M.P.H, received her medical degree from Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad, India, her residency at Yale-Bridgeport Hospital, Nanjing, China, and her fellowship at Brown University, Providence, R.I. Patel is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Patel will be joining the Atlantic General Hospital medical staff and Peninsula Nephrology Associates.

Vikas Sayal, MD, who joins Atlantic General Hospital as an intensivist, received his medical degree from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Punjab, India, completed his residency at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, N.J. and his fellowship at Bridgeport Hospital, Yale New Haven Health System, Bridgeport, Conn. Sayal is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary diseases and critical care medicine.
