8th Sam Henry Tourney a Huge Success

BERLIN- The 8th Annual Samuel S. Henry, Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament last week was once again a huge success with thousands raised for the Greater Berlin Minority Scholarship program, which provides higher education opportunities to youth in the area.

Nearly 60 golfers competed in the annual tournament last week at the Man O’ War course at Glenriddle. The annual tournament raises funds each year for the Greater Berlin Minority Scholarship Committee, founded in 1989, for scholarships for students at Stephen Decatur High School. In each of the last 23 years, the committee has been able to provide at least five students with $1,000 scholarships to help continue their education.
