Clinton Otto ‘Bud’ Worsham

OCEAN CITY — Clinton Otto Worsham “Bud”, age 95, died at his home on Sunday, April 29, 2012.

Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Margaret Luckan Worsham.

Bud was a graduate of Polytechnic High School in 1935. He worked for two years at Western Electric Co., he also had worked as a Plane Assembly Supervisor at the Glenn L. Martin Company during World War II and thereafter for ten years, and in the Accounting Department at Bethlehem Steel Sparrows Point Shipyard for over 30 years.

Upon his retirement, Bud moved to Ocean City where he was an active volunteer for AARP, the Elks, The Sons of Italy, The Ocean City Crime Watch, The Mac Center and the Montego Bay Civic Assoc.

Both he and his late wife, Anna M. Worsham, were honored by AARP with the Outstanding Senior Citizens if the Year Award in 1995 for their many services to Ocean City. Bud was a humble, unassuming, kind and generous man who was well loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by a daughter, Dr. Antoinette M. Worsham; sister-in-law, Simone Passaro; nephews, David Howard, Richard Howard, Frank Passaro and Joseph Passaro; niece, Margaret Bowers; great nephews, Michael and Patrick Passaro; and his dear 9-year-old pet cat, Blackie (who now desperately needs a loving new home).

A Mass will be offered in remembrance of Bud on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 14401 Sinepuxent Ave., Ocean City, Md. All friends and loved ones who wish to do so are invited to participate with Bud’s daughter, Toni, in the special Mass service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary, PO Box 430, Nassau, Del. 19969. Arrangements are being handled by the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.

Denise Ann Poskus Drittler

BERLIN — Denise Ann Poskus Drittler, born Feb. 28, 1956, passed away April 30, 2012 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake.

Denise was the mother to Ashley Marie of Brunswick, Md.; daughter of Sara Jane and the late Vincent "Bill" Poskus of Ocean City; sister of Cynthia Sue Nelligan of Lawrenceville, Ga., Dale Alan Poskus of Rockville and Laura Lee Poskus of Ocean City; aunt of Sean Vincent Blanchard of Willards, Brendan Alan Blanchard of Lawrenceville, Ga., Dale Alan Poskus Jr. of Rockville and Sara Alberta Nelligan of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and very special friend to Dave Lankford and his dog Callie of Baltimore and Tia, her Cat.

Denise was Rick Springfield’s No. 1 Fan. She has a picture published in his Late, Late At Night Book that Denise took on Sept. 26, 2009. She also was a member of the Eagles for 30-plus years. She worked at the English Towers for five years. Denise loved dogs and cats and she would always carry treats with her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 1, 2012 at the Blue Ox, 127th Street bayside in Ocean City, at 2 p.m.
