The DDC is planning to start the new year with a bang, planning the following events.
On Saturday, Jan. 21, the DDC welcomes the Aquarium on Wheels students from the National Aquarium, Baltimore for an original children’s play entitled “Pirates of the Chesapeake”.
The play is about a group of pirate invasive species who are trying to steal the jewel of Charm City. The entire script, costumes, backdrop, and accompanying discovery lab (games) are all created by the students. Meet local artists and authors as well. Children can make a craft/
Jan. 14 is a special day at the Delmarva Discovery Center for Pocomoke City residents. If you have always wondered what’s inside of the Delmarva Discovery Center, or love the museum and want to give a special donation, this is your day. For Pocomoke residents only, on Jan. 14, the Delmarva Discovery Center will be open to the public and all officials ask is that you make a donation.
Each person will be given an envelope upon entry and return the envelope when they leave with whatever amount they choose to give inside.
On the evening of Jan. 28, the DDC will hold a formal fundraiser with live and silent auctions. This is a chance to dress your best and support a very special museum.
