Bank Appointments

SALISBURY — Farmers Bank of Willards President Chris Davis has announced the appointment of William Turner as Vice President of Asset-based Lending and Celeste Dove as Vice President of Worcester County Operations.

William Turner, who is also a CPA, has been with the Farmers Bank since 2004. His new responsibilities include larger, more complex commercial customers and real estate needs along with the management of the bank’s Loan Portfolio of Small and Intermediate Business and Commercial accounts.

Dove was hired by the Farmers Bank to manage the new branch in north Ocean City in 2005. In March of 2009, she assumed the responsibility of managing the West Ocean City branch and in July 2009 helped open and manage the bank’s newest location on Talbot Street in downtown Ocean City. She has also been responsible for lending and business development in Worcester County.

Producers Keeps Streak Alive

OCEAN CITY — Linda Moran, a Realtor with Prudential PenFed Realty in the Ocean City West office, has earned the Top Producer Award in each of the last six years. She is also an active member of the National Association of Realtors, Md. Association of Realtors and Treasurer of the Coastal Association of Realtors and the Women’s Council of Realtors.

During the month of October 2011, Moran wrote contracts for $2.9 Million.

New Retail Project Planned

FRUITLAND – A new retail development is planned for a location presently occupied by Eighty Four Lumber. The five-acre site on the northeast corner of Cedar Lane (Highway 513) and North Fruitland Blvd (Highway 13B) is surrounded by a Wal‐Mart Super Center and numerous other retail and service establishments.

The sale was brokered by Senior Advisors John McClellan, CCIM and Henry Hanna, CCIM of Sperry Van Ness Miller Commercial Real Estate in Salisbury.

Redevelopment plans are still being finalized but, according to McClellan, “We are rolling out a comprehensive marketing plan to retailers, service providers, and other businesses who may be interested in locating at this excellent corner. With the traffic light, the direct connection to the bypass and the surrounding activity led by Super Wal‐Mart, we believe this is one of the finest retail opportunities to exist in Wicomico County for quite some time.”

Leadership Awards Presented

SALISBURY — Peninsula Regional Medical Center President/CEO Dr. Peggy Naleppa and Board of Trustees Chairman Martin “Marty” Neat recently presented members of the Peninsula Regional healthcare team with President’s Leadership Awards for their contributions.

President’s Leadership Awards were given to Carol Deal and Roger Follebout.

Deal, an executive director in Surgical Services who has been with PRMC since 1995, was recognized by Naleppa for exceeding her goals, being a fair, equitable and goal-driven leader who accepts responsibilities and brings proactive solutions to her issues. She was also honored for her role in supervising the integration of a new anesthesia group into the Medical Center and for her leadership of the ongoing operating room renovation and expansion project.

Follebout director of Community Relations, has been a member of the PRMC family since 1998. He was recognized by Naleppa for his leadership in dramatically improving community and media relations during his tenure of director, which began in August 2009. He was honored for his proactive and responsive approach to keeping the Medical Center healthcare team and its executive leadership informed, and for his diligent work to improve and strengthen communication channels with both internal and external audiences.

Bank Board Of Directors Named

BERLIN — Shore Bank, a subsidiary of Hampton Roads Bankshares, Inc., has announced that William (Will) E. Esham, III, Timothy J. King, CPA and Wendy Walker have joined the Shore Bank Board of Directors.

Esham is a partner in the law firm of Ayres, Jenkins, Gordy & Allmand. He currently serves on the Boards of Worcester Preparatory School, St. Martin’s Church Foundation and the Ocean City Golf Club and is a member of the Atlantic General Hospital Corporation Board.

King is the managing partner of the Ocean City office of Faw, Casson & Co., LLP. He lends his expertise to several local organizations including the Ocean City Golf Club Board of Directors and serves as a Trustee for the Town of Ocean City General and Public Safety Employee Pension Plan.

Walker is an Eastern Shore native who since 2004 has been working in partnership with her sister operating T&W Block Co., the family concrete, gravel, brick and hardscape business in Onley, Va. She has held leadership roles in a variety of community organizations.
