Worcester Boys Improve to 6-1

BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s boys’ varsity soccer team scored two goals about two minutes apart early in the second half on Monday to beat visiting Greenwood Mennonite, 3-1, to improve to 6-1 on the season.

About two minutes later, with 29:33 left in the contest, it was Worcester’s Harrison Brennan finding the back of the net to give the Mallards a little cushion at 3-1.

Greenwood Mennonite kept forcing the issue and had opportunities throughout the rest of the second half, but the Mallard defense rose to the occasion and Worcester held on for the 3-1 win.
