We Remember Those We Have Lost

Anne McCormack

OCEAN CITY — Anne McCormack, 69, died June 14, 2011. 

She was born in Baltimore.  After high school, Anne went into a convent and became a nun.  She then achieved her nursing degree and worked with several hospitals in the Baltimore area.

Anne moved to Ocean City in 1968 and helped run her family motel, McCormack’s Burgundy Inn. She decided to return to nursing in 1984 and worked with the Berlin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center until 2004 when she retired.

She is survived by her son, Chris McCormack and his wife Denise; daughter, Bridget McCormack; brother, Larry Curtis and his family; sister, Jeanne Dixon and her family; and several nieces and nephews.

Anne had a kind, loving heart and wonderful spirit. She will be missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to have known her. 

A memorial gathering was held at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin on Tuesday, June 21 from 5-7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Worcester County Humane Society, 48 Poplar Trail, Berlin, Md. 21811.
