SALISBURY — Dr. Peggy Naleppa, President/CEO of Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, has announced that Douglas H. Wilson, Ph.D., D.B.A, has been promoted to the position of Executive Director of Strategy and Market Development.
Wilson, who joined the Medical Center in 1982, has most recently served as the Director of Planning, Business Development, Government Relations and Marketing and will continue to oversee those departments.
“This change reflects a more contemporary recognition of responsibilities,” said Naleppa. “Doug has a solid understanding of the current healthcare market, has always demonstrated strong business analytics skills and is well respected in his field both on a local and state level.”
Business Expo Planned
BERLIN — The Berlin Chamber of Commerce and the Ocean Pines Chamber of Commerce are hosting a combined Chamber Business Expo on Wednesday, March 16 in the former Ocean City Harley-Davidson building from 5-8 p.m.
Over 40 exhibitors will be displaying their businesses, products and services. This is a great opportunity for members of all chambers and businessmen and women to mingle with fellow business owners, learn about new businesses in town and talk to hundreds of potential customers. Shorebirds Voice Named
SALISBURY — J.J. “Hitman” McKay of WQMR 101.1 has accepted the position as the new "voice" of the Delmarva Shorebirds, the Orioles class "A" team in Salisbury.
McKay recently returned to radio and currently hosts the morning show weekdays and will continue to serve as a manager of the Purple Moose Saloon this summer.
Technician Status Earned
SNOW HILL — The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) has announced that George Slaughter of Royal Plus, Inc. recently has qualified by education and examination as a certified Water Restoration Technician.
Slaughter has sacrificed many hours and a great deal of time and study to reach this level of certification.
