Parrothead Club’s Mardi Gras Campaign To Start

BERLIN – The Ocean City Parrothead Club’s 11th Mardi Gras Kick Off Party, benefiting the PJ Aldridge Foundation and Worcester Youth and Family Counseling Services, will kick off on Friday, Jan. 14 at Seacrets on 49th Street in Ocean City.

This free event will be held from 6-10 p.m. Seacrets will offer an extended happy hour and a great party atmosphere with DJ BK and DJ Batman.

The Mardi Gras Kick-Off Party introduces the 2011 Royal Court of Ocean City.

This year’s King nominees are John Barrett, Buddy Trala and Dr. Todd Bescak.

The 2011 Queen candidates are Mary Rice, Tammy Cebula and Kathy Denk.

Each nominee will raise additional funds for this year’s charities.  The nominee with the most raised funds throughout the months of January, February and March will be crowned the night of the Mardi Gras Carnival on March 25.

At the Mardi Gras Kick-Off Party, the royal court will be available to raise extra funds by getting their friends to donate a "Royal Buck" to their campaign.  There will also be a 50/50 Raffle and a Mardi Gras Mart, which will feature beads and other fun Mardi Gras accessories. You will also be able to purchase your Mardi Gras Carnival tickets there also.
