BERLIN- The second annual Reindeer Run 5K through the streets of Berlin last weekend was a big hit with dozens of local runners filling out the top spots on the leaderboard.
The 2nd Annual Reindeer Run 5K on December 11 started and finished at the Atlantic Hotel in the heart of the downtown area with the course heading down around Worcester Prep and the Northern Worcester County Athletic Complex before finishing on Main Street. In just its second year, the Reindeer Run 5K was a huge success with 141 runners from all over the region competing.
For the record, Berlin’s Dave Rovansek finished first overall, while Melissa Denault of Berlin was sixth overall and the top female finisher. Rounding out the top 10 was Joseph Repici of Burlington, N.J., Corey Dietrich of Ocean Pines, Chris Kleebe of Ocean City, Justin Steele of Salisbury, Denault, Don Parana of Berlin, Barry Mariner of Berlin, Diane Walsh of Berlin and Alyson Brabitz of Ocean Pines.
