Charles Christian Tipton

OCEAN CITY – Charles Christian Tipton, 48, of Ocean City and formerly of Hollywood, Fla., died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010 at home.

He was born in Baltimore and was the son of Elinor M. Scheeler and the late William Henry Tipton.

He had been a yacht builder for Marine Max in Hollywood, Fla. and was a former member of the Little People of America.

He is survived by his mother, Elinor M. Scheeler of Ocean City; a brother, William Tipton of Ocean City; three sisters, Patricia Scott of Millville, Debra Erbe of Ocean City, and Barbara Tipton of Baltimore; five nieces and nephews, Carrie Rambo, Nadene Hitch, Christopher Tipton, Gregory Tipton and Jessica Cooney; a great niece, Nevaeh Tipton; a great nephew, Jeramiah Tipton; and his cousins, Keith and Kevin Heckathorn and David Gloss.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21 at Atlantic United Methodist Church in Ocean City.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Worcester County Humane Society, P.O. Box 48, Berlin, Md. 21811.

Barbara B. Knoll        
OCEAN CITY – Barbara Butler Knoll, age 77, died peacefully at her home on Oct. 10, 2010.
Born in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of Benjamin F. Butler and Mertice Travis Butler.

She is survived by her children, Bill Knoll and his wife Mary of Big Fork, Mont., Teri Tomlin and her husband Mike of Bethesda, Lisa Mandrake and her husband Joe of Ernul, N.C., Sam Knoll and his wife Sharon of Frederick, Ginny Uty and her husband Jeffery of Frederick; and Pepe Knoll and his wife JoAnne of Pittsville. She leaves 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Knoll was known as the “38th Street Mayor”, and the nice lady with the “beautiful flowers.”

Yvonne Flint
BERLIN – Yvonne Flint, 54 of Berlin, passed away on Friday, Oct. 8, 2010.

Flint is survived by her husband, Brian Flint; her daughters, Brianna Flint and Nikki M. Dolor; and granddaughter, Reagan; her parents, Joseph and Maureen Mazzola; her sisters, Carol Mazzola, Theresa Barnett; and her brother, Joe Mazzola.

Flint was employed by Ocean Downs Racetrack for many years where she built meaningful relationships with many of the guests and her co-workers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life at the VFW in Ocean City on Thursday, Oct. 21 at noon.

Anneliese Welz
BERLIN – Anneliese Welz, age 85, died on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at her home in Berlin.

Born in Bochum, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Walter Baucks and Paula Stracke Baucks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Werner K. Welz.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.
