William “Bill” Mitchell
Gray

BISHOPVILLE – William
“Bill” Mitchell Gray, 75, of Bishopville, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010 at home.

He was born in
Bishopville and was the son of the late Mitchell and Edna Mae (Marvel)
Gray.   

He was a lifetime farmer
and co-owner and operator of Gray’s Produce for over 30 years. He was also a
U.S. Army Veteran. 

He is survived by a
brother, Robert “Bob” Gray and his wife Mary of Bishopville; two sisters, Betty
Ann Gray and Mildred “Millie” Drew both of Bishopville; a step daughter, Debbie
Winter of West Ocean City; three step grandchildren, Adam Winter, Brian Winter
and Justin Hudson; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death
by his wife, Sue Mitchell Gray in 1986 and a step-son, Gary Hudson.

Services were held with
Mr. Howard "Buzz" Taylor officiating.

Charles
Lewis “Pete” Brittingham

POWELLVILLE – Charles
Lewis "Pete" Brittingham, 68, of Powellville, died Monday, Aug. 23,
2010, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

He was born Feb. 16,
1942, in Parsonsburg to Lloyd and Elsie Martha Lewis Brittingham.

He began farming in 1961
until December 1993 when he went to work at Coastal Supply Company in
Pittsville. Pete was a charter member of the Powellville Fire Company. He
enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his
wife, Faye Brittingham of Powellville; one son, Michael Brittingham and his
wife, Tracy, of Powellville; grandchildren, Garrison, Grace and Rylie
Brittingham; brother, Ben Brittingham and his wife, Alice Lee; and several
nieces and nephews.

In addition to his
parents, Pete was preceded in death by a baby brother who died shortly after
birth, L.B. Brittingham; and two sisters, Mary Morris and Emogene Phillips.

Services were held at
Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the
service. Interment will be in Powellville Cemetery.
