Panagiotis
Spiros Buas

POTOMAC
– Panagiotis Spiros Buas “Panos”/”Pete” passed away on Friday July 9, 2010
peacefully at his home in Potomac, Md. surrounded by his family.

He was
born on April 2, 1928 to Sprios and Vasiliki Buas in Drihmades, Albania (Vorio
Epirus). He was a very proud Greek-American who loved the church and his quiet
faith in God helped him through many challenges in life.

He is
survived by his wife, Dena, married for over 52 years. He is also survived by
his children, Linda, Spiro and his wife Marianne, Peggy and her husband Peter,
Christina and her husband Tim; 15 grandchildren; his three brothers, Achilles,
Vasilis and Nako; and many nieces and nephews and cousins. His most proud role
was as “papa” to his grandchildren.

He was
a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Bethesda, Md. and St. George
Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean City, Md.

He
enjoyed many things about life. First and foremost, his family was of the
utmost importance. He loved to engage in discussion of history to no end. He
enjoyed documentaries of European history. He loved the ocean. He loved to swim
and spend time on a boat fishing. He was happiest at his home in Ocean City. He
is best known for owning the Buckingham Hotel for many years in Ocean City.

Michelle
Ann Staubs

BERLIN
– Michelle Ann Staubs, 43, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at
Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.

Born in
Baltimore, she was the daughter of Earl T. Majors and Betty M. Shifflett
Majors.
She was a graduate of Sparrows Point High School in Baltimore and had been a
member of St. Lukes Catholic Church in Edgemere.
Along with her parents, she is survived by her children, Richard Allen
"Bo" Thomas, Jr. of Berlin, Michael Eugene Staubs, III of
Westminster, Md. and Brandon Thomas Hannon of Berlin.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 24 at 11 a.m.
at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin. A memorial service to be held in
Baltimore at a later date. Donations may be made to Coastal Hospice, PO Box
1733, Salisbury, Md. 21804.

Emma
Day VanDoren

BERLIN
– Emma Day VanDoren, 95, died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at
Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.

Born in
New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Theodore W. Day, Jr. and Emma
Burkhardt Day. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. VanDoren.
She is survived by two daughters, Janis Wilde and her husband James and Lois
Reynolds and her husband Phillip; one sister, Patricia Connell and her husband
Grover; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews
and a host of friends.
Services were held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American
Cancer Society, c/o Gerri Harrison, 337 Winter Quarters Dr., Pocomoke City, Md.
21851. Arrangements are being handled by the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.

Mary
Louise Tate

BOCA
RATON, Fla. – Mary Louise ”Mary Lou” Tate, 71, of Boca Raton, Fla., died
Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Hospice By The Sea in Boca Raton, Fla.

She was
born in Windber, Pa. and was the daughter of the late John and Irene (Bardo)
Graziani.  

She and
her husband Jim previously owned Ocean Realty in Ocean City.

She is
survived by two sons, Gary Tate of Boynton Beach, Fla. and James Tate Jr. of
Weston, Fla.; a daughter, Kathe Crosariol of Selbyville; a sister, Dolores
Beers of Selbyville; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was
preceded in death by his husband, James E. Tate Sr., in 2004 and a son, William
G. Creelman Jr., in 2009.

Services
were held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer

Marion
Magdeline Steiner

BERLIN
– Marion Magdeline Steiner died July 14, 2010 at
the Berlin Nursing Home.

Born in
Laceyville, Pa., she was the daughter of Joseph Kisloski and Agatha Martin
Kisloski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Steiner. She is
survived by a son, Michael Tocyloski, and a daughter-in-law Jeannie Tatman.
She also leaves two brothers, Ed Kisloski and his wife Ann Marie, and Tom
Kisloski, and a sister-in-law, Sandy Kisloski. She was preceded in death by
four brothers, Bill, Joe, Stan, and Charlie Kisloski. She was beloved
grandmother to Heather S. Tocyloski and Justin G. Hudson. She leaves many
nieces and nephews.
Steiner worked at the American Legion and for nine years at the Purple Moose in
Ocean City. She was the beloved "Keno Lady".
Services were held.

Jean E.
McCabe
OCEAN CITY – Jean E. McCabe, 73, of Ocean City, died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at
Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.

She was
born in Ocean City and was the daughter of the late Roland and Bertha
(Beauchamp) Ennis. 

She is
survived by her husband, Wayne E. McCabe of Ocean City; a son, Richard W.
“Rick” McCabe and his wife Debbie of Salisbury; and four grandchildren, Alex,
Molly, Morgan and Brock.

Services
were held.

Charles
L. Wright

FENWICK
ISLAND – Charles L. Wright, 72, of Fenwick Island and formerly Annapolis,
passed away on July 14, 2010 at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Del.

Born in
Long Beach, Calif., he was the son the late Charles L. Wright Sr. and Suzanne Reluga
Wright. He was raised in Washington, DC and was a loyal Redskin fan. He served
his country in the Army National Guard and the U.S. Air Force.

He is
survived by his beloved and devoted wife Mary (Fraser) Wright; a son, Matthew
Charles Wright: two daughters, Tracy Wright and Kristan Wimbish and her husband
Paul; and three grandchildren, James and Elizabeth Cavanaugh and Kyle Wimbish.
He is also survived by two sisters, Barbara O’Neel and Linda Akowski, and
numerous nephews, nieces and friends.

Services
were held. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St.
Paul’s-By-the-Sea. Arrangements by the Hastings Funeral Home.

Joseph
Kervitsky

OCEAN
CITY – Joseph Kervitsky, 84, of Ocean City, died Saturday, July 17, 2010 at
Berlin Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Berlin.

He was
born in Atlas, Pa, and was the son of the late Frank and Sophie (Glydak)
Kervitsky.

He
served in the Marine Corps during World War II and then enlisted in the US Air
Force. He retired from the Federal Government as a Glass Technologist. He was a
member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Ocean City, Ocean City American Legion,
Ocean City VFW Post and the N.A.R.F.E.

He is
survived by his wife, Catherine C. Kervitsky of Ocean City; two daughters, Lynn
Benner of Atlanta, Ga. and Mary Matthews of Columbia; two sisters, Mildred
Sawina of Wilmington, Del. and Kitty Hanlon of Lanham, Md.; five grandchildren;
and one great grandchild.

A Mass
of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 23 at St. Luke
Catholic Church in Ocean City with Father Richard Smith officiating. Burial
will be held at a later date in All Saints Cemetery in Elysburg, Pa.

In lieu
of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 114
Baptist St., Salisbury, Md. 21801.

Sarah
Rebecca Perry

OCEAN
PINES – Sarah Rebecca Perry, age 79, died Monday, July 19, 2010 at
her home in Ocean Pines.

Born in
Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Winfield Scott and Mamie Hutchins
Scott.
Perry was a member of Atlantic United Methodist Church in Ocean City. She was
an excellent seamstress and loved to knit.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur R. Perry; a son, Andrew W. Perry and his
wife Esther Kim; one sister, Shirley Hunter; and one granddaughter, Grace
Perry.

A
funeral service will be held on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 1 p.m.
at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin. Rev. Norman Poultney will officiate.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Garden of the
Pines in Ocean Pines.
