Firm Welcomes Advisor

OCEAN CITY – Christine M. Selzer, CFP, Resident Director of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, has welcomed Charles R. Cohen, MBA to the firm.

Cohen is a licensed Financial Advisor authorized to practice in Maryland, Delaware and Virginia. In addition, Cohen is licensed in eight other states to sell financial service products, annuities, and life/ health insurance.

Previously, Cohen was the President/CEO of CRC Consultants, Inc., a regional operational and turnaround consulting firm and a State of Maryland Expert Consultant. Cohen has earned his MBA from Salisbury University as well as a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration-Management from the University of Baltimore. He is currently a doctoral student enrolled in the Ph.D. Organizational Leadership program at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Committee Appointment

SALISBURY – The Board of the National Quality Forum (NQF), a nonprofit, organization with a mission to improve the quality of health care for all Americans, has approved the nomination of Peninsula Regional Medical Center hospitalist and Chief Medical Informatics Officer Chris Snyder, DO to serve on their recently established Health Information Technology Advisory Committee (HITAC).  This national appointment of Dr. Snyder to the HITAC is for a two to three year term.

“It’s an honor to be asked to serve on the HITAC because it validates our efforts at a national level,” said Dr. Snyder. “The focus of our health information technology (HIT) initiative at Peninsula Regional has always been patient safety. Having a voice on this committee provides us another venue in which to share what we’ve learned and take in the successes of others. Ultimately, that sharing of knowledge makes Peninsula Regional as well as other hospitals much more efficient and safer.”

Group Rates Offered

BERLINAtlantic General Hospital’s Associates Getting Healthy Program is again bringing Weight Watchers at Work to its associates and, this time, the program and its discounted rates have been extended to the community. Because this program is offered at a discount, weekly payments are not eligible.

The 17-week program begins on April 7 with an hour-long meeting in hospital conference room 1 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. The discounted cost is $186 for the entire program, and anyone who joins during weeks one and two will receive free e-tools to help them with their weight loss goals.
