Mallards Prep for Grueling Stretch Run

BERLIN- After a long winter break, the Worcester Prep boys’ and girls’ varsity basketball teams get back in action in earnest, each with three games next week and five in a span of 10 days.

The Worcester Prep boys last played on January 15 when they beat Gunston, 63-34. The Mallards’ record now stands at 7-5 with a very telling segment of the schedule coming up after a two-week layoff. The Worcester boys play Delmar on Monday in the first of four straight road games to start the stretch run.

Meanwhile, the Worcester girls face a similar stretch. The Mallards, now 6-5, also played their last game on January 15 before a two-week layoff. They will play Saints Peter and Paul at home on Tuesday to begin a stretch of six games in 10 days to close out the regular season.
