BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s boy’s varsity basketball team won its third straight game in Tuesday, beating Delmarva Christian, 58-44, on the road to improve to 5-2 on the season.

The Mallards cruised past Delmarva Christian on Tuesday behind a pair of prolific scorers in Justin Butler, who finished with 18 points, and Alex Ternahan, who finished with a double-double including 15 points and 10 rebounds. After falling to Holly Grove in a tight game, 48-42, last Thursday, in a game in which Ternahan led all scorers with 16 points, the Mallards ran off three straight wins.

The win streak began with a sweep in Worcester Prep’s Invitational Tournament last Saturday as the Mallards cruised past Wesleyan, 50-25, in its first game and routed CTA, 52-10, in its second game of the tournament. On Tuesday, Worcester continued its winning ways, beating Delmarva Christian, 58-44 behind Butler and Ternahan.

Worcester wraps the early part of the season this afternoon with a home game against Salisbury Christian. After the holiday break, the Mallards return to action on January 5 with a home game against Greenwood Mennonite.
