West OC Fire Destroys Garage

WEST OCEAN CITY – A fire at a residence in West Ocean City last Saturday afternoon drew a response from three fire companies and completely destroyed an attached garage with black smoke visible for miles.

Residents of the house on Lakeview Drive in the Ocean Reef community in West Ocean City reported the fire last Saturday afternoon around 3:18 p.m. Black smoke was visible throughout the West Ocean City area and even in Ocean City. First arriving crews reported heavy fire extending from the two-story attached garage where the homeowner reportedly worked on restoring classic cars.
