BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s girls’ varsity soccer team finished it regular season in impressive fashion this week, beating Saints Peter and Paul, 3-1, on Monday to capture the Eastern Shore Independent Athletic Conference (ESIAC) title.

In the win over the Sabres on Monday, Worcester got balanced scoring with goals by Laura Breslau, Kaitlin Talbert and Mary Clare Regan. The win was the fifth in the row for the Mallards, who are now in the midst of attempting to add an ESIAC tournament championship to its regular season conference title.

Worcester last lost back on September 30, a tough 1-0 loss to Salisbury Christian. On October 2, the Mallards played Saints Peter and Paul to a 1-1 tie after two overtime periods. This week, the Mallards got the better of the Sabres with a 3-1 win on the road. Since the October 2 tie with Saints Peter and Paul, Worcester has won five straight, outscoring its opponents 24-4 during the streak.
