Tuesday, Oct. 6-Resort Trolleys Vandalized In WOC

WEST OCEAN CITY – Local law enforcement agencies this week are looking for the suspect or suspects who broke into and vandalized four town of Ocean City trolleys stored at a Public Works facility in West Ocean City sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning.

Yesterday morning, a Maryland State Police trooper responded to a public works yard on Keyser Point Rd. in West Ocean City in reference to the malicious destruction of four Town of Ocean City trolleys stored there. According to police reports, the suspect or suspects had smashed out every piece of glass including all windows, doors, headlights, taillights, coin fare boxes and mirrors. The total amount in damages to the four busses is estimated at around $20,000.

The Maryland State Police Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene to process evidence. The Worcester County Bureau of Investigation (WCBI) also responded due to the nature of the estimated damage.
