Joseph J. Lorditch, Jr.
WESTMINSTER – Joseph J. Lorditch, Jr., 78, formerly of Ocean City, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at the Carroll Hospice-Dove House in Westminster.
Born April 20, 1931, he was the son of the late Joseph James Sr. and Agnes A. Kohler Lorditch. He was the husband of Shirley A. Tutwiler Lorditch of 59 years.
He was retired from the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and children, boating, scuba diving and the beach. He was a ham radio operator.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons, Joseph, Michael and James and daughter Teresa Motes, and daughter and son in law, Jeanine and James Falise, Sr.; 10 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and sisters Minarose Fuhrman and M. Elise Dimmick.

Thomas A. Reis
SELBYVILLE – Thomas A. Reis, 72, of Selbyville and formerly of Wilmington, died Monday, June 8, 2009 at his home. He was born in Kingston, N.Y. and was the son of the late T. Joseph and Gertrude Beichert Reis.
Reis was a graduate of St. John’s Prep School and Fordham University and was a retired accountant and had worked for Hercules Inc. and Himont USA, both in Wilmington. He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Ocean City; a member and past president of AARP Chapter 5226; and a former member of Hercules Men’s Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Rona J. Reis of Selbyville, and a daughter, Joanne M. Reis of New Castle, Del.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 12 at St. Luke Catholic Church with Father Richard Smith officiating.
