National Bailout Tour Eyes Resort Stop

OCEAN CITY – Tickets are now on sale for a country music blowout concert next weekend at an uptown smokehouse saloon catering to all things western.

As part of this year’s Bailout Tour, appearing live on Sunday, May 24 at Johnny B’s Cowboyz Smokehouse and Saloon on 114th Street will be nationally-known Cledus Judd, Flynnville Train and Cody McCarver. An appearance by former local resident Richie Fields will also be featured along with DJ Longhorn in between sets.

Owner Johnny Brooks is excited about hosting his first major country music show over the upcoming holiday weekend, reporting it will be the first of many major concerts hosted at the resort’s only country music bar.

"This is the first of many national acts that will be gracing the Cowboyz new stage this summer including confirmed dates with the multi platinum selling band Confederate Railroad, legendary southern rockers Blackfoot for Bike Week and one of Nashville’s top rising stars, Corey Smith, on July 4th with Delmarva native Richie Fields," Brooks said.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $30 on the day of the show. Tickets can be purchased online at CowboyzSaloon.com, by phone at 410-250-4900 or in person at either Cowboyz or Crabcake Factory USA on 120th Street. Doors open at 4 p.m. for dinner. Must have ticket to enter or remain after 7:30 p.m.

According to Brooks, the offseason was spent making major improvements to his new operation, which opened last summer.

"Last year was just a learning year for us at Cowboyz. We opened in July and never got into a good groove until Bike Week,” he said. “People will be amazed at just the difference between last year and this season. We went back and remodeled again including the stage area and improving the outside eating area. We are now the premier place, in fact the only place to see consistent professional regional and national country acts."
