SALISBURY – John Bilous, age 57, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Iwan Bilous and Titiana “Tina” Bilous.
He is survived by his beloved companion, Kathy Schwartz and her son, Michael; three sisters, Maria Schlick of Ocean City, Nadia Lupiwok of Shrewsbury, Pa., and Tina Parsons of Pittsville, Md.; and several nieces and nephews, Eva, Tanya, Michael, Nadia, Steven, Andrew, Josephine, Jessica, Wally, Jennah, Jessie, Joshua and Kayla.
Bilous loved to hunt and fish. He was an artist who painted and carved wood.
Services were held. Arrangements were handled by the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.
Eileen Catherine Turner
OCEAN PINES – Eileen Catherine Turner, age 84, died on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 at the Berlin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Montclair, N.J., she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Joyce McIntosh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cyril S. Turner, Jr. in 2002.
Turner had worked for many yeas as a teacher at Greenbelt High School in Greenbelt, Md. She was one of the original 30 "Pioneers" in Ocean Pines, she was a founding member of the Ocean Pines Chapter of AARP and was the first president.
She is survived by three sons, Mark G. Turner and his wife Kathy, Brian M. Turner and his wife Julie and Gregory N. Turner; two daughters, Mary Beth Coleman and her husband Rod and Suzanne Haley and her husband Douglas; one brother, Harry McIntosh; and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lake and Kay Maxwell.
Friends may call on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 5-8 p.m. at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin. Services and interment will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 213 W. Main St., Salisbury, Md. 21801.

Alwyn B. Colwell
SELBYVILLE, Del. – Alwyn B. Colwell, 95, of Selbyville, Del. and formerly of Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 at her residence.
Since moving from Canada, she had made her home with her daughter Marie in Selbyville. Colwell was born in Penge, London, England to the late Harry and Emily (Pout) Brown.
She was a member of St. Martin’s In-The-Field Episcopal Church, the Ocean City Senior Center, Daughters of the British Empires and The Very Important Persons Senior Support Group. She will be lovingly remembered by the Terrill family, Trevor Abbott and many other friends.
She is survived by one daughter, Marie C. Whear (David); a sister, Marie Thompson of Manchester, England; two grandchildren, Michael Whear (Gail) and Pamela Whear; three great grandchildren, Julene Williamson (Mark), Jillian Gamble and Adam Whear; and one great great grandchild, Baylie Williamson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grenville Colwell, in 1979.
