Students get Three-Dimensional with Toothpicks and Gumdrops

Students in Mrs. McDowell’s homeroom class used toothpicks and gum drops to construct three-dimensional models of solid figures. Students then used the three-dimensional objects to identify faces, edges and vertices. Above, fifth grader Summer Vinson constructs a rectangular prism in order to analyze its characteristics.
