BIS 4th Graders Sculpt like Alexander Calder

Fourth graders in Mrs. McCracken and Mrs. Schiffer’s class at Berlin Intermediate School read a story titled, "My Name is Maria Isabel." As an extension to the story, students researched the meaning of their names and then used wire to sculpt their name like the famous artist Alexander Calder.  Above, Mason Horsey and Christina Romano work with Mrs. McCracken to sculpt their names out of wire.
