Oral Robert Donovan

LONG NECK, Del. – Oral Robert Donovan, 43, of Long Neck, near Millsboro, Del., passed on Aug. 16, 2008 in Georgetown, Del. result of an automobile accident. 

Donovan was born on Oct. 28, 1964 in Salisbury to Alfred Donovan of Millsboro, Del. and the late Edna Dean Donovan who passed in 1993. 

He most recently worked at Hardee’s in Millsboro and was formerly employed as a poultry worker and formerly worked at Food Lion in Millsboro, Del. He attended the Beth El Tabernacle in Clarksville, Del. and he was a member of the 1983 class of Sussex Central High School, Georgetown, Del.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his brother, Brad Donovan of Bridgeville, Del; his companion, Ann Knauer; and his aunt and uncle, Virginia and Gene Breeding of Denton.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22, 2008 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S Washington Street, Millsboro, Del. where friends may call at 1 p.m.  Rev. Robert A. Hudson will officiate. Interment in Dagsboro Redmens Memorial Cemetery, Dagsboro, Del.

James Walter Burbage, Sr.

SEFFNER, Fla. – James Walter Burbage, Sr., age 75, died on Monday, Aug. 18, 2008 at Kindred Hospital in Tampa, Fla.

Born in Newark, he was the son of the late Walter James Burbage and Mildred Elizabeth Bradford Burbage.

Burbage was a retired Navy veteran serving aboard the USS Sirago, Patrick Henry, Robert E. Lee and John Marshall.

He is survived by his wife, Lola A. Burbage; two sons, Charles D. Burbage and James W. Burbage, Jr.; two daughters, Desiree Sarosi and her husband Wayne and Alice Hamm; and six grandchildren, Derrick Sarosi, Matthew Hamm, Danielle Hamm, Stephanie Sarosi, Shelton Burbage and Jesse Burbage.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 22 at 3 p.m. at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin where friends may call from 2-3 p.m.

Interment will be in Bowen Cemetery in Newark.
