Thursday, July 31 – OC Fight Leads To Multiple Arrests

OCEAN CITY – Ocean City Police last weekend made 11 arrests during a bar fight that began at a downtown nightclub and later spilled outside the establishment around closing time.

Shortly after 2 a.m. last Saturday, Ocean City Police officers on routine patrol in the downtown area responded to a reported fight inside the Paddock nightclub on 17th Street. By the time the officers arrived, nightclub security staff members were escorting several of the combatants out of the establishment. After the combatants were escorted out of the club, the fight continued out onto the sidewalk and street.

All in all, 11 arrests were made with charges ranging from assault and disorderly conduct to resisting arrest and failing to obey a lawful order. Arrested were: Anthony Drummond, 20, of Easton, Pa.; Brian Costello, 24, Staten Island, N.Y.; Efrain Gonzalez, Jr., 34, Easton Pa., Errica Pagan, 24, Easton, Pa.; Isaac Csezmadia, 24, Easton, Pa., Joe Rountree, 21, Easton, Pa.; John Ryan, 25, Wilmington, Del.; Julian Jenkins-Mathews, 26, Wilmington, Del.; Kelly Fitzgerald, 23, Ocean City; Malcom Freeman, 21, Easton, Pa., and Taryn Kelly, 30, of Ocean City.
