Elizabeth “Beth” Garliss

OCEAN CITY – Elizabeth "Beth" Garliss, age 39, died on Friday, July 11, 2008 on a boat off of Fortescue, N.J.

Born in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of Joseph Allen Garliss and Sue Gough Garliss.

She was a graduate of Stephen Decatur High School and was employed with SoHo Fashions in West Ocean City. She was an accomplished lifetime ice skater and beach and Assateague enthusiast. She was a member of St. Paul’s by the Sea Episcopal Church in Ocean City.

Along with her parents, she is survived by her son, Austin Dundore of Ocean Pines; a sister, Wendy Griffith and her husband David of Ocean City; and four nieces, Morgan, Miranda, Gabrielle and Julian.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s by the Sea Episcopal Church at 3rd St. and Baltimore Ave. in Ocean City. The Rev. David Dingwall will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Churchyard in Berlin.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Paul’s by the Sea Episcopal Church, PO Box 1207, Ocean City, Md. 21842.

Frank C. Peters

BERLIN – Frank Christian Peters passed away on July 9, 2008.

He was the beloved husband of Karen M. Peters (nee Thompson); devoted father of Mary Theresa Peters, Shannon Jenkins, Timothy Christian, Shawn, Scott, Ashtin, Andrew, Gavin Peters and the late Thomas Peters; dear brother of Jane Geier, Mary West, John Peters, Jr. and Joseph Peters; and grandparent to nine grandchildren.

A funeral mass was held on July 14. Interment was held at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary School, 8501 Loch Raven Blvd., Towson, Md. 21286.

Michael James Cline

GEORGETOWN — Michael James Cline, 24, of Georgetown, Del, died July 14, 2007 at Christiana Hospital.

He was a construction worker for Thompson and Son.

His survivors include his parents, Richard and Cynthia Maslin Cline of Millsboro, Del; twin brother, Thomas Cline and his wife, Brandi, of Dagsboro, Del.; paternal grandmother, Doris Cline of Laurel, Del.; maternal grandparents, Jim and Connie Maslin of Townsend, Del.; and his favorite cat, Scully.

He was an avid sword collector, loved playing Nintendo and fishing, with his father. He was a comedian, quick witted, always happy and had a joke for every occasion. “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” was his philosophy of life.

Services will be held on Friday, July 18 at 7 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro. Friends may call one hour before. Internment will be private.
