Earl Conley joins Bank of Ocean City

OCEAN CITY- Wayne Benson, President of Bank of Ocean City, along with the Board of Directors, is pleased to announce the hiring of Earl E. Conley II as Business Development Officer of the bank.

Conley’s duties will include business development and lending. He is a 1990 graduate of Worcester Country School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a MBA from Salisbury State University. 

Conley is currently a Board Member of Atlantic General Hospital’s Foundation, Board Member of Berlin’s CDMA, member of Evergreen Lodge #153, A. F. & A. M.; member of the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry Southern Jurisdiction, U.S.A.; member of the Boumi Temple Shriners of North America and Past President/Vice President of the Berlin Chamber of Commerce.  Conley will be based out of the 59th Street branch of the Bank of Ocean City.  Born and raised in the area, he currently resides in Willards with his wife Sarah and daughter Addison.

BERLIN- Dr. Jeffery Michael is announcing that he is providing chiropractic and physical therapy services to the Worcester County area at his new office in Berlin.

Michael received his Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic.  Michael was previously associated with Bouma Chiropractic and Brown Family Chiropractic in Indiana, Pa.

Fractured Prune Expansion Continues

OCEAN CITY- Fractured Prune the Donut Shoppe, a local Ocean City franchise has opened a store on York Rd. in Towson, Md.

They are double branding with Lee’s Ice Cream an old fashioned ice cream parlor and a popular local Baltimore brand. This is the first for both brands and has been highly anticipated by the locals. The Towson store is the Fractured Prune’s 20th franchise, the latest opening in Biloxi, Mississippi and Hershey, Pa.

There are currently six stores under development including Salisbury, Md. and Orlando, Fla. plus three in Loudoun County, Va. Fractured Prune, Inc. plans to have 30 franchises opened by the end of the year.

Chamber to Host Business Breakfast

OCEAN CITY- The Ocean City Chamber of Commerce’s first business breakfast of the year, featuring Jay Peters, the Eastern Shore Business Resource representative from the Maryland Division of Workforce Development, is planned for June 5 at the Bull on the Beach in West Ocean City.

Peters will provide information about funds available to help support small business in the form of training grants for employees, free job postings, tax credits and more. Please join us for this great networking opportunity.

Breakfast is at the Bullon the Beach in West OC from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and there is a $12 charge if you pre-register and a $15 charge at the door. Space is limited so please register early by visiting Chamber’s website and following the events link.

Sea of Seductions Celebrates Anniversary

WEST OCEAN CITY- Sea of Seductions lingerie boutique will celebrate its second anniversary tomorrow by hosting a day of festivities at their stores from 1-3 p.m.

Owners Lisa Zweifel and Roberta Hennessy are proud to be part of this great community and enjoying continued success in bringing elegance and class in the world of lingerie to women and men alike. Please join them at the Ocean City location in their celebration with an exciting schedule of events throughout the day.

Sea of Seductions will kick off its third year of keeping romance alive by having belly dancing at the store at 1 p.m. from the talented Nefertiti and Damali Dance Company. The Maryland location is in West Ocean City on Route 611 not far from the Greene Turtle. The Delaware location is in Dewey Beach on Route 1 next to the Starboard restaurant.

Festivities during the anniversary celebration will included the special performance by Nefertiti and Damali Dance Company, an anniversary cake-cutting, musical entertainment, raffle drawings throughout the day, a blowout sale on selected items and refreshments. Also, the first 20 customers will receive a free gift.

The hours of operation for the West Ocean City store are Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Delaware location is open Thursday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. with summer hours starting Memorial Day including seven days a week.
