New Bus Campaign To Start

OCEAN CITY – Ocean City
Public Works Director Hal Adkins and Transportation Department Superintendent
George Thornes announced the kickoff of this year’s Ride the Bus campaign this
week.

The campaign, featuring
a cast of prehistoric beach residents, is aimed at promoting Ocean City’s
family-friendly image while encouraging residents and visitors alike to go
“green” and ride the bus.

TV commercials featuring
the dinosaurs will begin airing locally on Comcast on Monday, April 7, while
the print ads will start in May. The video will also be available for viewing
at www.myspace.com/oceancitybus
and www.youtube.com/oceancitybus
by the middle of April. Radio spots and posters are also part of the campaign.

“We are delighted to
have been able to put together a campaign like this and we think these images
will certainly help get people’s attention and, hopefully, motivate them to go
‘green’ this summer and ride the bus,” Thornes said.

The campaign was
designed, written and directed by Tom Lloyd with animation by Coby Dax of
“You-Oughta-Be-In-Pixels”.
