Michael Thomas Baylis

OCEAN CITY – Michael Thomas Baylis, age 42, died Monday, March 3, 2008.

Born in New Jersey he is the son of Suzanne Baylis (nee Idell) and the late Thomas H. Baylis.

He had worked in the restaurant business all his life and most recently had been the operations manager at Hooters Restaurant in Ocean City for many years. He had attended Wesley College in Delaware. In his early years, he played football and lacrosse.

Along with his mother he is survived by a brother, Larney Baylis and his wife Maureen; a sister, Leslie Baylis; an uncle, Richard Baylis and his wife Lou; three nephews, Thomas and Brice Baylis and Ryan Taylor; two nieces, Cassie Baylis and Marsh Taylor; and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin. Letters of condolence may be sent to the family at www.delmarvaobits.com.

Theresa F. Haines

BERLIN – Theresa F. Haines, age 79, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008 at Berlin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late John and Theresa O’ Sullivan. She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Donald B. Haines; and four children, Donna Eitel, Theresa Lamkin, Mary Haines and Donald H. Haines. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Mitchem. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Bryan Haines, Doug Lamkin, Lauren Lamkin, Ben Haines, Joey Haines, Sophia Haines and Patrick Haines.

Services were held at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.
