Edward J. Wheatley

OCEAN CITY – Edward J. Wheatley Jr. 49, of Ocean City and formerly of Baltimore, passed away on Feb. 19, 2008 at the Berlin Nursing Home after his valiant fight against cancer. He finally won his battle by finding a cure in heaven.

He was born in Baltimore the son Edward J. Wheatley Sr. and Pearlie W. (Harman) Wheatley. He had recently worked for a local eBay company History-Attic as well as many years as a local bartender.

He is survived by his mother and father as well as his two brothers Curt and Bill, and Bill’s wife Betty as well as his niece and nephew Raven and Billy. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to any or all of the following organizations: American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, and American Lung Association.

On Monday, March 3, at sunrise at the Inlet, Wheatley’s ashes will be committed to the ocean followed by a Memorial Service and “Irish” Toast at Coins Pub on 28th Street from 1-3 p.m. completing his final wishes.

Carol A. Prager

BERLIN – Carol A Prager, 64, died on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake of metastatic breast cancer.

A survivor for 15 years, most of them under various treatments, Prager was one of the three founders of Women Supporting Women (WSW) with Sue Revelle and Harriette Fine in 1993. She was active in the group and helped many newly diagnosed patients over the years with her empathy and experiences. She further went on to co-found the Berlin chapter of WSW with Ginny Reister in 1998.

She leaves her husband of 43 years, Carl Edward Prager, and three sons and their wives, Mark and Mindy Prager of Annapolis, Eric and Kimberly Prager of Syracuse, N.Y., and Kurt and Jennifer Prager of Severna Park, Md. with their children, Chelsee and Aiden, grandchildren of whom she was inordinately proud.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1 at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. The family would like to invite family and friends to the Goin’ Nuts Café, 947 Mt. Hermon Road, following the service for a time of fellowship and celebration of her life. Donations may be made in her honor to Women Supporting Women at 106 West Circle Avenue, # 101, Salisbury, Md. 21801 if desired.

James Patrick Delapp

BERLIN – James Patrick Delapp, age 49, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008.

He was the beloved husband of Becky D. Delapp; loving son of Agnes Amuck and the late James P. Delapp; adored father of Garrett J. Delapp and Hallie A. Delapp; and brother of Stephen J. Delapp, Dawn M. Metz and her husband James and Robin D. Wagner

and her husband John. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and

friends.

More than life itself, he loved his family. He was a musician that loved playing his guitar. He was a Harley Davidson rider and loved to ride, and he was a member of ABATE.

Services were held. A memorial fund has been set up for the Delapp children at BB&T Bank, PO Box 310, Bishopville, Md. 21813.

William Joseph Wills III, 66

BERLIN – William (Bill) Joseph Wills III, of Berlin, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008.

Born Oct. 21, 1941 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late William Joseph Wills Jr. and Margurite Dorsey Wills.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, of 44 years, Terrie LeGore Wills. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Barbara Jean Ancarrow of Fairfield, Pa.; daughter, Carol Ann Crabtree and husband Brian Lee Crabtree also of Fairfield, Pa.; two grandchildren, Lindsay Beth Ancarrow and Daniel Joseph Ancarrow; one brother, Thomas Richard Wills and wife Janese J. Wills; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia (Kay) Wills.

He started his career of 37 years as a Food Distributor Salesman working for Lunardi-Central, Baltimore. This same company eventually evolved into US Food Service where he retired as an Account Executive in 2001. As a top salesman for the organization for many years, he developed a large and loyal customer base because of his hard work and trust. Many of these customers continued to communicate with him as friends after his retirement and during his illness.

Kirra Faith Bealefeld

SALISBURY – On Feb. 23, 2008, God opened the gates of heaven and brought his precious and perfect daughter, Kirra Faith Bealefeld, in with gentle hands.  Mother, Jennifer Ann Sheller, and father, John James Bealefeld, and brother, Ryder Michael Bealefeld (20 months old), are left to grieve for their loss but are comforted by knowing that baby Kirra is in his presence where she will remain with God forever in heaven.

Sheller is originally from Pottstown, Pa. and Bealefeld is originally from Baltimore. Both have been residents of Ocean City for three years and both work at Harrison’s Harbor Watch.  

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 3 in Pottstown, Pa.  A public viewing will be held at Schumacher-Benner Funeral Home in Pottstown from 8:30-9:30 am.  Church services will be held at 10 a.m. at Saint Aloyoius Catholic Church on Hanover Street in Pottstown.   Any questions or concerns can be directed to Jackie Sheller at 610-329-5736.

Pascal “Pat” Harris Moreland III

BERLIN – On Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, Pascal “Pat” Harris Moreland III died.

He is the father of Jeremy S. Moreland; son of Diana Moreland Lloyd of Bowie and Pascal H. Moreland Jr. and his wife Lee Ann Moreland of Ocean Pines; brother of Laurie Langley and Michael S. Moreland and Robin, Rae, Jay and Rick Lloyd.

Family will receive friends at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home of Bowie on Sunday, March 2 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. where a memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 3.
