Monday, January 14- Shows Planned for OC’s Holiday Weekend

OCEAN CITY – The 23rd Nautical & Wildlife Art Festival and 21st North American Craft Shows are slated for the Roland E. Powell Convention Center on Saturday, Jan. 19, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, Jan. 20, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Billed as “two great shows under one roof,” the event features 190 booths of artisans representing 17 states and Canada. Exhibitors are traveling from as far west as New Mexico and Arkansas and as far north as Michigan, Minnesota, Maine, Ontario and New Hampshire and as far south as South Carolina and Kentucky.

Many of the nation’s finest nautical and wildlife painters, sculptors, carvers and art photographers will converge on Ocean City and offer 80 booths of spectacular talent. Organizers say the Nautical & Wildlife Art Festival is the nation’s largest show of its genre.

Juried art and craft persons are sure to delight show-goers with their creative multi-media talents in the North American Craft Show component. Their creations utilizing wood, metal, fiber, stone, glass, clay, paints, wax, soy, leather and other natural materials are amazing.

A new feature for this year’s event will be an overflow parking area at Seacrets. A free shuttle bus will take patrons to and from the show from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19 and 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Combined admission for both shows will be $4.50 for adults, $3.50 for AARP members with card and students 13-17 years old and free for children 12 and under with an adult.
