What Kind of Goose?

Local hunter Richard Taylor got a bit of a surprise this week when his retriever returned with this rare bird on Monday morning. Taylor was hunting in the Sinepuxent area early Monday morning when he fired into a flock of Canada geese. When his trusty retriever Taylor returned with this odd bird, the long-time hunter noticed the goose had different markings than any other goose he had ever seen. The goose had a white and brown mottled color on its head and neck and its feet were a soft shade of yellow, which are far different then the markings of a normal Canada goose. Pictured above, Richard Taylor poses with the weird goose with his retriever Taylor by his side.
