Seahawks Top Lions, 30-27, in OT

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s varsity football team overcame a late charge by Queen Anne’s and a couple of shaky calls by the referees to top the Lions, 30-27, in overtime last Friday to improve to 4-1 on the season.

Decatur led late in the game when Queen Anne’s made a late charge. The Lions tied the game at 27-27 as time wound down in the fourth quarter aided by a couple of questionable calls, but the Seahawks quickly scored on their first possession in overtime to seal their fourth win of the season against just one loss.

Decatur has now won three straight after a loss to Indian River in the second game of the season. The Seahawks face Parkside tonight for Homecoming at Seahawk Stadium.
