Norma Lee Bunting

CHINCOTEAGUE – Norma Lee Bunting, 86, formerly of Bishopville, died Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Del.

Born in Chincoteague, she was the daughter of the late Granville S. and Viola Snead Bloxom. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman F. Bunting, in 1981 and her daughter, Nancy L. Bowden, in 2000. She is survived by her sons, Wayne F. Bunting and his wife Barbara and L. Roy Bunting and his wife Debbie all of Dagsboro, Del., and a daughter, Nadine B. Townsend and her companion, Stanley Grella of Bethany Beach, Del. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Bunting was a homemaker and had been a member of the Auxiliary of The American Legion in Chincoteague.

Carol Bradley Davis

BERLIN – Carol Bradley Davis, 92, died peacefully on June 24, 2007 at Gilchrist Center in Baltimore County.

Born in New York City, the daughter of Air Force Major General Follett Bradley and Katherine Rising Bradley, she grew up and was educated in several different parts of the United States and Panama.

An avid tennis player, golfer and pianist, she also maintained flower gardens in Baltimore and Cooperstown, N.Y., which were opened numerous times for charitable causes.

Davis did volunteer work throughout most of her adult life at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Children’s Hospital. The canteen at Johns Hopkins was very special to her.

She was recognized for long and outstanding service to the Lake and Valley Garden Club of Cooperstown, N.Y. For many years, she did volunteer work at Ladew Topiary Gardens as well. In later years, she became interested in the real estate business sand joined the firm of Chase, Fitzgerald. Other interests included traveling, dancing, working with needlepoint and playing bridge. She also enjoyed her adult learning enrichment courses at Notre Dame.

Davis was preceded in death by her three husbands, Daniel Trimper III, of Ocean City, Frederick Adams Savage Jr. and Dr. Bowdoin Davis, both of Baltimore. She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Bradley Sorte of Westminster, Colo., and four children, Daniel Trimper IV of Ocean City, Amanda Savage Mahoney and Fredericka Savage Shaw of Glyndon, Md. and Letitia Trimper Hurst of Orlando, Fla. Other survivors include 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held in Cooperstown, N.Y. An additional service will be held on Sept. 19 at St. Thomas Church, Owings Mills, Md. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be sent to Ladew Topiary Gardens, 3535 Jarrettsville Pike, Monkton, Md. 21111.
