OCEAN CITY- Eight-year-old Ocean City native Jacob Shockley returned recently from the 43rd Annual United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Youth Tournament with two Maryland state titles.

Shockley, who has grown up learning to bowl at Ocean Lanes in Ocean City, captured first place in the bantam boys’ singles handicap division with a winning score of 640, which was 21 pins better than his closest competitor. Shockley also took first place in the all-events bantam boys scratch with a score of 1364, which topped the rest of the field by an astounding 186 pins.
